DO YOU WANT TO AFFECT THE FUTURE SHAPE AND SIZE OF PEASEDOWN ST. JOHN?

Come and help survey the parish as part of a plan to help decide where future development could happen and where it should not.

The plan will complement B&NES Council’s Core Strategy, which provides the parameters that development must adhere to under UK planning law. The plan will identify the various character areas of every parish and assess their suitability for development. B&NES Council is probably the first in the country to involve all its parishes and we are pleased to be included. The process is due to be finished during February.

The Parish Council is facilitating the project and asking for interested residents to join the team because they will supply valuable local knowledge. We are currently running sessions to survey the character areas in the parish in small teams. Volunteers will also audit and collate the information. The survey will identify local landmarks, building types, services, access, green space, and any places suitable for development or those that should be preserved.

Character Survey Sessions:
